SCHOLARSHIPS

Dancer Cup Tour Newcomer Scholarships are open to those students that have taken 50 hours or less of instruction. ANY STUDENT WHO HAS COMPETED IN SILVER OR ABOVE IN ANY STYLE IS NOT ELIGABLE TO COMPETE IN THE NEWCOMER SCHOLARSHIPS. Students may enter both the Novice AND Bronze Scholarships if they so choose.
A student is not permitted to dance in both the Closed & Open of the same style. Closed Scholarships are available to Bronze & Silver level students only. If you are entered in both the Bronze & Silver freestyles and wish to compete in the Closed Scholarships, you must enter in the highest level in which you competed in the freestyle divisions. Students may only compete in one age category per scholarship entered. To qualify for a Scholarship event the student must be entered in a minimum of four freestyle events per Scholarship Division entered. The organizer has the right to cancel any event with less than three couples entered by the deadline. Monies will be awarded to the top six finalists provided a semi-final is danced. If it is a straight final, monies will be awarded to the top three placements. No Scholarship entries will be accepted at the competition. The designated "Pink Ribbon" Scholarship division for 2009 is the Open American Rhythm (A & B).
